About SOMI Art Fest
In 1984 a dedicated group of Red Sunset Merchants Association members conceived an arts and crafts festival as a way to bring shoppers into the area and to serve the community by bringing the arts closer to the local population. Starting as a small show with only 25 booths, it has grown to over 150 vendors spanning all four blocks of downtown South Miami.
Recently named a Sunshine Artist 200 Best Show in America 2018, having already achieved the ArtFairSourceBook.com to the AFSB Blue Chip 100 Fine Art Event, it is clearly one of Miami-Dade’s most anticipated events.
The festival is now wholly produced by the dedicated volunteers of the Rotary Club of South Miami and its South Miami Rotary Foundation, Inc. Our artists come from all over the United States and Canada. Over the years the show has engaged local musicians to play during this juried event.
South Miami Rotary Foundation, Inc is a 501c3 that funds college scholarships for South Miami students, as well as other local, national, and international service projects.

Frequently Asked Questions
The festival is held every year the weekend after Presidents’ Day. Our next festival is February 24 and 25, 2024.
The festival is located in the downtown area of South Miami on Sunset Drive (SW 72nd Street) from US 1 to Red Road (SW 57th Avenue.)
